GrowByNumbers was built on a simple observation: the same financial clarity that helps a business owner sleep at night is exactly what most small businesses go without — not because it’s complicated, but because it’s never been positioned as something they could access without hiring a full finance department.
We’ve spent our careers across public practice and corporate finance — tax, compilations, audits, review engagements, and everything in between — and along the way, we’ve sat across the table from a lot of business owners in a lot of different kinds of trouble. Almost every time, the root of it wasn’t bad luck or a bad year. It was that nobody had kept the books in real order.
Doing your taxes once a year and calling it done isn’t enough. It matters every single month — and it matters most exactly when you need it most: when you’re trying to get financing, sell the business, or take out a loan, and suddenly someone else needs to trust your numbers too. We’ve watched good businesses run into real, avoidable trouble simply because nobody made bookkeeping a real priority from day one.
That’s the entire reason GrowByNumbers exists — to bring the same rigor and audit-ready standard we’ve built across public practice and corporate finance to businesses that never had access to it before, without needing a full finance department to get it.
